On Wednesday, April 29, Wood-Ridge firefighters provided the WR Intermediate School Safety Patrol with a fire safety demonstration. The safety patrol explored fire apparatus and the tools carried by firefighters. They also entered the Bergen County Department of Public Safety Fire Safety House, where they learned important fire safety skills. The house offered a safe, smoke-filled environment that allowed students to practice escaping, simulating conditions similar to those in a real fire situation.
