Carbon monoxide incident

At 08:02 hours, the WRFD was dispatched to 113 Columbia St. for an activated carbon monoxide detector. Firefighters recorded 50 ppm of CO on the meters and determined the source to be a faulty furnace. The unit was shut down, the house was ventilated and PSEG was notified to respond to the scene. There were no injuries. All WR units were back in service at 08:57 hours.
