Carbon monoxide incident

At 18:21 hours, the WRFD was dispatched to 6 Charter Oak St. for the activated carbon monoxide detector. Firefighters entered the house and immediately recorded 300 ppm of carbon monoxide at the front door and 2000 ppm in the garage. The source of the CO was determined to be a vehicle that was left running in the garage and the house was vented. There were no injuries. All units were back in service at 19:29 hours.
